Kimberley Walsh thanks Girls Aloud fans

Girls Aloud's Kimberley Walsh took to Twitter last night to thank fans for their support over the weekend.

The newly reformed five-piece performed their new track 'Something New' which was aired during the results show of the Strictly Come Dancing Wembley Arena special on Sunday (November 18).

Kimberley - who is also a contestant on the hit dancing show - took part in a Q&A with fans shortly after her busy Sunday.

She said: "Right guys i've got to go! I've loved our little Sunday eve chat! Thanks for all your support on Strictly and for #CIN #SomethingNewSunday (sic)".

Girls Aloud - also comprising Cheryl Cole, Nicola Roberts, Nadine Coyle and Sarah Harding - stunned in metallic silver minidresses for the hotly-anticipated performance after wowing at the Children In Need concert on Friday.

The Strictly appearance was filmed on Saturday night at Wembley Arena, with the girls fitting the filming into their busy schedule.

Their Children In Need renditions of 'Something New' and ballad 'Beautiful 'Cause You Love Me' was the first time the girls had performed together as a group for over three years.

When asked by the show's co-host Sir Terry Wogan how the long-awaited reunion felt Kimberley replied: "It's great. It's so special."
