Girls Aloud would snub Glastonbury

Girls Aloud have revealed that they would decline playing at this year's Glastonbury Festival in favour of celebrating a birthday.

The reformed pop group have been rumoured to perform at the massive Worthy Farm festival this year, which is taking place on June 26-30.

However, it seems the girls would shun any opportunity to play the shindig in order to celebrate Cheryl Cole's 30th birthday.

The Geordie singer told the Daily Star: "We could be available for Glastonbury but my birthday is on the Sunday and as I'm turning 30 I want to have a big one. I want to party hard."

Nicola Roberts meanwhile chimed in: "I'll plan it. Maybe we should celebrate over a few days."

Girls Aloud's 10th anniversary UK and Ireland tour meanwhile is due to conclude in Liverpool on March 20.
