Haim on fame: 'We're still the same three girls from the valleys'

'Days Are Gone' hitmaker Haim have revealed that they won't allow themselves to be changed as their career grows as they're very down to earth and like to be grounded.

Member Alana told BANG Showbiz that fame hasn't changed them and they're happy to remain the same girls they have always been as long as they can keep recording and releasing music they love:

"We're the same three girls from the valleys that we've always been, we don't even think we've had the success that we want yet. We are going to keep going, keep making music and we're never going to stop!"

Este Haim joked: "Just wait til you meet my grandpa, then you will understand where we come from!"

When asked if their new celebrity status is likely to influence the way they write songs, Alana added: "We'll see what happens, we write the best when we're all together at home, but we're starting to write on the road. It's a new experience but we're up for trying new experiences but it's rad."

Earlier this week, they won Best International Band and Best Band Blog or Twitter at the 2014 NME Awards and Este told reporters that her original career plans didn't include being involved in music: "Basically, when I was younger I wanted to be a part of Cirqu du Soleil. The night is young if someone had a unicycle here I'd get on it."
