Haim: 'It's surreal to write music in our family living room'

'Days Are Gone' hitmakers Haim have opened up about their new studio album and the creative process that has been driving it so far.

Bass player Este told the Rolling Stone magazine that she and her bandmates wrote all their songs in there:

"All of our band rehearsals until recently were in our living room, and we wrote every song in our living room. So it was surreal and kind of emotional to be like, 'We're going to the Grammys in a week and we're back in the living room trying to write a new album.'"

The trio went onto add that they're not rushing the process and are just taking each day as it comes: "We make the music we make, and we're not trying to reinvent the wheel. It's been more about coming together and asking each other how we were feeling and what we were feeling and how we wanted to express that. There's never a plan. We kind of just let our bodies do the work."
