SHEPPARD REVEAL NEW SINGLE EDGE OF THE NIGHTSHEPPARD HIT THE DANCEFLOOR WITH EDGE OF THE NIGHT OUT 23RD JUNE VIA DECCA RECORDSAustralian sibling supergroup Sheppard have just announced their new musical offering, in the form of track Edge Of The Night. The band are making a leap from their world-famous infectious pop sound to a new brand of 80’s funk on their new single, out 23rd June via Decca Records. Written during a session in September 2016, the band set out to create an authentic funk-inspired pop song, spending an entire day listening to old-school funk records and playing around with Juno synths and vintage pedals to create their ode to ending a hard work week with a glorious weekend of partying. “Edge of the Night isn’t your typical Sheppard track,” said George Sheppard. “It's a tongue in cheek funk pop throwback to house parties and old school vibes. It's an opportunity for us to let our hair down and try something completely different.” Adding some undeniable hooks, a sprinkling of funk and an unmistakably catchy baritone growl, Edge of the Night shows the band jumping effortlessly from the airwaves to the dancefloor. A clear standout from their recent stadium shows with Justin Bieber in Australia, the song makes its international debut as the band get ready to join Little Mix on their Summer Shout Out Tour, starting in a few weeks. Sheppard are also to join Bieber once again, this time closing the Barclaycard Stage at London’s BST Festival on 2nd July. In amongst these live dates, the band are playing two headline shows of their own. They are heading to Glasgow’s Garage on 27th June, before hitting The Lexington in London on 11th July.
