Hot of the heels of Top 10 rankings in UK and international songwriting competitions Ian Lee is now releasing his debut album ‘Lonely Nights’ on 2nd October 2015. 

Over the past 18 months his beautiful piano ballads and soft rock anthems have been taking the national and international songwriting competitions by storm. Receiving critical acclaim in the UK Songwriting Competition with ‘Rainbows Without Rain’ gaining 4th place in the best lyrics category and 5 other tracks from this album reaching the Semi-Finals stage.

In the globally renowned Song Door International Songwriting Competition, based in USA, out of more than 19,000 entries from 27 countries, Ian achieved an amazing 6th position with ‘Love Song’. In total, 7 tracks from the ‘Lonely Nights’ album received honourable mentions in Song Door competition results.

The lyricist and singer-songwriter was “over the moon” with these results and after facing off stiff competition. 

A spokesman for the UK songwriting Competition added “There were more than 5,000 entries this year and we would like to congratulate Ian Lee on his 4th place finish and on his excellent set of results this year!” 

Boosted by these results, Ian decided to professionally record his songs to help boost his songwriting further. Lonely Nights is the outcome of that effort and has seen him being compared to the likes of Ed Sheeran, Bruce Hornsby, The Script and James Taylor.
