The music acts in this year’s line-up are no strangers to awards, chart topping singles and albums with over 700 weeks combined on the singles and albums chart. Providing the soundtrack will be BRIT-Award winning singer KT Tunstall, pop purveyors The Feeling, hip hop wonderkids Rizzle Kicks and legendary dance duo Basement Jaxx, with the likes of Norman Jay and the Cuban Brothers bringing their own unique dose of good times.

Over in the Electrolux Big Kitchen, Jamie’s mentor and Italian legend Gennaro Contaldo, culinary maestro Bruno Loubet, top British chefs Valentine Warner and Mark Sargeant, Supper Club sensation Sabrina Ghayour and talented foodie Gizzi Erskine will all take to the stage to cook up a storm alongside the man himself, Jamie Oliver.

It’s not just about tasting great food, festival goers can get stuck in with a whole host of hands-on foodie features including the Electrolux Chefs’ Secrets Cooking Classes, the Weber BBQ Experience, The Table Sessions and of course, the return of Alex James’s very own Cheese Hub. The Lebara Mobile Asian Music Awards (AMAs) are pleased to announce that some of the world’s biggest names in Asian music will be taking to the stage on Thursday 25th October at Wembley Arena alongside international superstar and Bollywood legend Rahat Fateh Ali Khan for the 10th Anniversary of Asian Music Awards. The show will be hosted by BBC Asian Network’s Tommy Sandhu and BBC 1Xtra’s Sarah-Jane Crawford. 

The UK’s defining Urban Bhangra pioneers RDB will thrill audiences with the exclusive world premiere of their new track ‘BIG’. Alongside RDB brothers Manj and Surj, ‘BIG’ will feature some of UK’s biggest musical sensations, for a never before seen collaboration on one definitive track. Talents include Jazzy B, Dr Zeus, PBN, Bups Sagoo, Jassi Sidhu, Balwinder Safri, Apache Indian, H Dhami, DCS, Jaz Dhami, MC JD, Kateyez, DJ Sanj, Raftaar and Badhshah who join forces with RDB brothers Manj and Surj. ‘BIG’ will be available to download via iTunes on Thursday 25th October, following the Premiere at the AMAs.

Sailor Jerry to open the doors to its first UK venue

with rum, clothing, music, film and art

Sailor Jerry will open its very own London venue later this month bringing rum, clothing, music, film and the original art of tattoo master Norman ‘Sailor Jerry’ Collins to Soho. Opening on Thursday 19th April, Hotel Street at 120-125 Charing Cross Road is named after Honolulu’s infamous Hotel Street District where Collins’ made his name. A gallery and store by day, and gig and dive bar by night, Hotel Street will be an all-round good place for bad people – open Tuesday’s to Sunday’s from midday to midnight, serving up the best Sailor Jerry Spiced cocktails in town.

Hotel Street will make its own piece of history as it exhibits the iconic restored original flash artwork of the late Norman ‘Sailor Jerry’ Collins for the very first time in Europe.  Paying homage to the father of old-school American tattooing, and the inspiration behind the spiced Caribbean rum that bears his name, the exhibition will feature 75 pieces of Collins’ legendary collection. Curated by Amsterdam Tattoo Museum founder and tattooist Henk Schiffmacher, the exhibition will showcase Collins’ values of independence, hard work and unyielding standards of craftsmanship to a new generation.

Every week, Hotel Street will be transformed into a music venue with an electric line-up of gigs from some of rocks finest up-and-coming bands. Already poised to hit the Hotel Street stage is:
