BROKEN CHORDS "GET SOME" - ALL HAIL THE RETURN OF ROCK 'N' ROLL!

Cervena Fox features in new video, plus UK dates, The Great Escape and HRH Ibiza

It's official - rock is back.  BBC News is saying it, Radio 1 is saying it - and Broken Chords are shouting it loud, with the release of their debut single "Get Some" on May 19, 2014.

"Get Some", produced by Gez Walton (Skindred, Blackstorm, The King Blues) is Hammond-infused British rock at its riffiest and heaviest, referencing the world-dominating sounds of Led Zeppelin and Cream while also displaying a contemporary punkish attitude.  It's classic rock with a twist - classic rock for right now.

Broken Chords are Joe (lead guitar/vocals), Aid (bass/vocals) and Jamie (drums), three 22 year olds from Essex/Hertfordshire with a level of musicianship and songwriting which has already seen them featured on Kerrang! TV, BBC Radio and touted by key tastemakers Gary Crowley and Aaron Philips on Amazing Radio.  What's more, the band were recently voted one of the best new top 10 rock acts in the UK by Classic Rock magazine. Whats more, they are due to perform as part of Hard Rock Hell’s festival in Ibiza, and have been personally invited by Nick Cave to perform an acoustic set at Brighton’s Great Escape Festival – on top of their full band showcase at Latest Music Bar during the festival on May 9th.

"Rock has never been more relevant to our generation," explains Joe, the band's frontman.  "We love seeing the big names like Muse and The Arctic Monkeys live, but we also really admire the way the new generation like We are the Ocean, Deaf Havana and Twin Atlantic have broken through lately.  These guys smash it live and that's what we are into.”

He continues: "We've been invited to play some key festivals this year like Hard Rock Ibiza (May 18th) and The Great Escape (May 9th), and that's confirmation for us we're heading in the right direction," adds Joe.  "We've spent years learning our craft in venues all over Camden and clubs throughout the whole of the UK and now we're stepping up to the bigger gigs.  What's sick is that we are attracting as many of the cool indie kids as we are of the traditional rock fans.   There's a buzz about what we and other bands like us are doing.  Yeah, our time is now."

"Get Some" is the first release from Broken Chords debut album "Broken Chords" which will be released in Autumn 2014.  The tracks video features the stunning tattoo models Cervena Fox and Shelly D’Inferno, perfectly accompanying the bands sexy hard rock sound and attitude. Broken Chords are currently on development label Capital Artists but being tracked by a number of indie and major UK and US imprints.

‘Get Some’ is due for release on Monday 19th May 2014. Check out the video (feat: Cervena Fox and Shelly D’Inferno) here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ald2HmY5JqM
