Peter M. Smith releases 'Rockstar', his follow up to No.1 in Rock Charts

PETER M. SMITH

And Dead X-Ray

“Rockstar” Released Friday 22th July 2016

Forget The Iron Throne, Peter M Smith’s Empire Is Built On Rock

Following on from his triumphant reign at No. 1 in the Irish Rock Charts and with rock venues in her majesty’s capital virtually fighting each other off for the man from Ireland to shake their foundations, Peter M. Smith returns armed with the swaggering “Rockstar”, ready to stake his claim to the throne.

Combining influences ranging from Ireland’s own Thin Lizzy to America’s Lenny Kravitz, Barcelona-based Smith echoes a rich multitude of rock royalty with his own future rock classic “Rockstar”, out Friday 22th July. Seeping with dirty funk rock from the get go, “Rockstar” explodes with riffs so filthy they should be kept on the top shelf. Smith’s vocals boast exactly the kind of attitude you need from your next rock icon. Huge hooks and iconic guitars see Smith effortlessly produce another stadium worthy anthem from his personal production line.

"Rockstar is an important record for me. I get to work with my good friend Darren Holden, from Irish Super-ground, The High Kings. We are like brothers and I think my band sound like no one else on this tune. People are gonna enjoy the retro vibe and sexually charged content too!"

– Peter M. Smith

Set for a meteoric rise, Peter M. Smith has already conquered the history-laden heights of the Irish rock charts with a No. 1 across all digital platforms with the cultured rock rendition of “Love Will Tear Us Apart”.

“After spending so much time in the studio writing and recording, myself and the band are looking forward to getting on the road. The reaction has so far been phenomenal; the connections that I have received from rock fans have been humbling… I’m having a wild time with my band”.

 – Peter M. Smith

Rockstar” is out Friday 22th July and taken from his debut album set for release later this year on Lonely Child Records.
