Celebrity line-up confirmed for new ITV series -100 years younger in 21 days

The celebrity line-up for new ITV documentary series ‘100 Years Younger in 21 days’ has been unveiled and includes soap legend June Brown, actress Claire King, presenter Roy Walker, Eastenders stalwart Sid Owen, actress and presenter Sherrie Hewson, musician Shaun Ryder, TV personality Sandra Martin and astrologer Russell Grant.

The eight well-loved and well-worn celebrities are taking part in a bold and unique experiment, to find out if we really can stop the aging process and turn back time.  We see if they can lose 100 years between them, without going under the knife.

Before embarking on their quest, the celebrities will be subjected to scientific testing to discover how well, or badly, they are aging, inside and out. Each one will then be told the biological age of their face, brain and body.

The group will then spend 21 days on the island of Sardinia, home to one of the oldest populations in the world which includes a blue zone. They will be asked to commit to a strict diet and exercise routine bespoke for their individual needs, which will push them to their limits and be subjected to cutting edge, extreme, anti-aging treatments.

After 21 days of intensive rejuvenation, the celebrities are assessed once again, to discover if they have reached their combined goal of losing 100 years from their collective biological ages, both physically and mentally, inside and out.

This unique, immersive series will show the celebrities out of their comfort zones, as they candidly reveal their personal health issues and the aspects of their appearance which most concern them.

Kate Teckman, commissioning editor, ITV, said: "Who doesn’t want to turn back the clock and look and feel a bit more youthful? Anti-ageing concerns us all but to find out whether you can roll back the years by experiencing life in the blue zone, we have used leading experts and physicians along with a bunch of brave celebrities prepared to be put through their paces. "

Melissa Brown, executive producer, Wall to Wall, added: “We're thrilled to be working with ITV on this exciting new series, centred on the hot topic of anti-ageing, 100 Years Younger in 21 Days promises laughter, shocking discoveries and some home truths.  It's never too late to make changes to our lifestyles and this incredible line-up of game celebrities should inspire us all."
