Iggy Azalea suffered an embarrassing opening to a live performance on US TV last night (May 20).

The Australian rapper appeared on Dancing with the Stars to play her single 'Fancy' with Charli XCX.

However, the song's backing track went awry in her in-ear monitor and this caused Azalea to stop in her tracks.

She recovered well, however, saying into the mic: "I'm so sorry but there's something wrong in my ear."

Azalea later got back into the groove of the tune and saw out the performance with flying colours.

Speaking on Twitter after the show, the rapper said: "I am so sorry guys! My in ears messed up and I couldn't hear the track. The dramas of live TV. Sh*t happens. Still really enjoyed it."

The Australian meanwhile recently released her debut album 'The New Classic'.
