Iggy Azalea's boyfriend thinks Nicki Minaj is jealous of her

Iggy Azalea's boyfriend Nick Young believes Nicki Minaj is jealous of the Australian's success.

The 'Super Bass' star seemingly dissed the 'Fancy' lady recently at the BET Awards by criticising those who don't write their own lyrics.

Basketball star Young told the New York Daily News, however, that he thinks Minaj is just jealous of Azalea's success.

He said: "Iggy is doing big things and that is what is scaring people. She is going to brush it off. She won't let it get to her. She is number one - what can you do? She's at the top right now, so of course they are going to come at you."

Referring meanwhile about Azalea's reaction to the news, Young added:

"I had to deal with the aftermath of all that, when she came home and was going through her phones, hearing everybody talking trash about her. I had to be there for her."

Speaking at the time about the BET Awards, Azalea said that she was disappointed by the "pettiness" which spawned from the ceremony:

"I have to say the general explosion of pettiness online in the last few days is hard to ignore & honestly... lame. If I had won the BET award that would've been great, but it wasn't my year, and I don't mind so you shouldn't either. Generally speaking, I'm unbothered by anything that happened at the BET Awards and just feel worn out by everyone trying to make me have wars with people all the time."

"Anyone who wishes me well is welcome in my life and those who don't can't get any more of my time. I hate to see everyone exhausting themselves on my behalf over things I'm not 100% sure even exist and don't matter. Just let it go."
