Iggy Azalea on Grammy nominations: "If I lose every award to Sam Smith, I'd be fine with it"

Iggy Azalea has revealed who she is backing to win at the 2015 Grammys.

The Australian rapper is up for four awards at the music ceremony next year including Record of the Year for ‘Fancy’, Best Rap Album and Best New Artist.

However, the ‘Work’ star has admitted that there is one artist she wouldn’t mind losing out to in the Record of the Year and Best New Artist categories.

Iggy told Billboard: “I really loved Sam Smith's record. The Grammys are coming up, and if I lose every award to Sam Smith, I'd be fine with it.”

Reflecting on her breakthrough success in 2014, Azalea stated: “It has been a pretty awesome year… I don't know one girl my age who isn't a fan of rap music. We have very few characters that we can identify with, so it's cool I get to be one of those girls.”

The 24-year-old Aussie also flagged up a number of female artists she has been influenced and inspired by:

“I've always loved Fergie and Gwen Stefani. I loved Eve and Lil' Kim and Missy Elliott. I loved Trina and Christina Aguilera as well. I wanted to be a mix of all of them, which I think I am — I hope!”

An award Iggy Azalea will definitely be picking up is the Chart-Topper gong at the Billboard Women in Music Awards on December 12.
