Iggy Azalea on Britney duet 'Pretty Girls': 'It didn't get enough promotion'

Rapper Iggy Azalea has revealed that 'Pretty Girls', which is her collaborative single with Britney Spears, didn't do as well as expected because the support and promotion simply wasn't there.

In reply to a fan who tweeted that the song had 'flopped', Azalea admitted that she strongly believes there wasn't enough promotion behind it that was needed to propel it further:

"It's difficult to send a song up the charts without additional promo and tv performances etc. Unfortunately, I'm just featured... I would have enjoyed performing it a lot, I think it got off to a powerful start. But you need content to compete in 2015."

Azalea then publicly responded a story shared by The Pop Zone, which had the following headline "Iggy talks about 'Pretty Girls' flopping, shades Britney/her team", and added: "My comment is factual, it applies to any song. I don't have to suck the woman's asshole 24/7 to be her friend, do I?"

The 'Fancy' hitmaker was also quizzed on rumours that suggest she has recorded a collaboration with friend Demi Lovato and confessed that while it's untrue, she would like to work with her in the future on a joint project: "I haven't done a collaboration with her, but I'm sure we will."
