Iggy Azalea says MTV VMAs jibes show she is still 'relevant'

Iggy Azeala believes being criticised for her performance at this weekend's MTV VMAs proves she is still "relevant".

The singer took to the stage at the event on Sunday (August 30) to perform a reworked version of Demi Lovato's 'Cool For The Summer'.

However, a number of internet trolls took to their keyboards to slate the rapper.

Azalea seems to have taken the abuse on the chin, however, posting on Twitter that the comments show she is actually doing something right.

The Australian told a fan: "Who cares it shows im very relevant in their lives still.

"Im flattered. hahaha [sic]."

Speaking meanwhile about how the recording process of her next album is going, Azalea later wrote:

"its going really great. ive played some stuff to a few friends and my label who all seem to really love it. :-) [sic]."
