James Arthur has been confirmed for this year's V Festival.

The singer will play the summer shindig at Hylands Park, Chelmsford on August 16 and Weston Park, Staffordshire on August 17.

The X Factor 2012 winner will take to the Arena Stage alongside the likes of Janelle Monae and Foxes.

Other new names on the bill include Hoodie Allan, Neon Trees, Kiesza, Fuse ODG, Neon Jungle, Sheppard and James Bay.

This year's V Festival meanwhile is due to be headlined by Justin Timberlake and The Killers.
