James Arthur says he was full of nerves when he returned to the X Factor this weekend.

The singer won the show in 2012, but on Sunday (October 9) he came back to perform his new single 'Say You Won't Let Go'.

Speaking on Twitter after the show, Arthur said he was nervous during the slot.

He said: "That was the most nerve wracking thing I've ever done so apologies for the pitchyness and incorrect lyrics but thank you so much everyone."

X Factor boss Simon Cowell also wrote on Twitter: "Couldn't be happier to welcome back @JamesArthur23. Huge congratulations."

On Friday (October 7) 'Say You Won't Let Go' stayed at No.1 in the UK for a second week.
