James Arthur on struggling with fame and writing 'Back From The Edge'

Singer-songwriter James Arthur has revealed that his new album was written as a way to try and recover a sense of self as he felt "pretty lost" in life before it materialised.

During an interview with Alice @ 97.3, he explained the situation that gave birth to his latest record 'Back From The Edge' and confessed that he hopes it inspires or helps people experiencing struggles similar to his own:

"'Back From The Edge' is basically an album I wrote whilst trying to figure out myself. I was pretty lost and I didn't know who I was - or I'd forgotten who I was - and that was because of a battle with mental health issues and fame in the UK, and overnight success."

The star added: "I put a lot of pressure on myself and had a meltdown, and this album was kind of a therapeutic thing. A project that started to try and find my purpose again. I hope that it helps other people who are going through adversity."
