Former 'X Factor' winner James Arthur has revealed that former mentor Nicole Scherzinger recently told him that he's her only true friend in England's capital city. 

Both stars now live in London and he confessed that she struggled to make any strong bonds with people there, but counts him as her best friend in the area:

"Nicole’s one of my best friends, she says I’m her only friend in London, her true friend in London. We’re both not from London, neither of us are from London, so it’s good to have her here and have a good friend here."

He also opened up about the public's perception of him after being photographed throughout his career with different women and explained that he isn't the 'Casanova' the press has made him out to be:

"I said a few things that didn’t really do me any favours at the start of fame, you know, I made no bonds about being a big admirer of women. I mean I love women, I grew up in house full of women, I respect women, I prefer to hang out with women, I just love the creatures! I’m a fan of them, and I’ve said I fancy a lot of celebrities. I think some sections of the media like to run with that and make me out like I’m a ladies man, a Casanova."

He added: "I’m actually desperate to get into a relationship with one girl and settle down because when you live a lifestyle like I do you want someone constant so all these links, none of them are true. I tried to have a relationship recently with a girl but it got ruined because I was linked to Page 3 models and stuff which obviously is a fabrication.”
