Jay-Z on gay marriage: "It's no different than discriminating against blacks"
Rap mogul Jay-Z has spoken out in support of gay marriage and told CNN that America's divided stance on the issue is "something that's still holding the country back".
In the new interview, the '99 Problems' superstar explained that discriminating against same-sex marriage is no different to being racist, and he believes that Obama is doing the right thing by backing equality in the way that he is:
"I've always thought it as something that's still holding the country back. What people do in their homes is their business. You choose to love whoever you love - that's their business. It's no different than discriminating against blacks."
"I think it's the right thing to do, so whether they cost him votes or not... it's not about votes, it's about people. I think it's the right thing to do as a human being."
