Jay-Z reveals new album artwork and Magna Carta display

Jay-Z has unveiled the official artwork for his upcoming new album and announced an intriguing art exhibition in the process.

The US rapper is due to release new effort 'Magna Carta Holy Grail' on Thursday (July 4) to Samsung Mobile users and on July 9 to the public in the UK.

In a blog post, Jay-Z revealed that the artwork for the album is going on display for the month of July next to the one of four original Magna Carta documents at Salisbury Cathedral in England.

The document hails from the year 1215 and naturally seems to have inspired Jay-Z's album title.

'Magna Carta Holy Grail' meanwhile is due to feature guest cameos from the likes of Justin Timberlake and wife Beyoncé.

It will mark the follow-up to his previous solo record, 2009's 'The Blueprint 3'.
