In 2018, Under The Bridge will play host to an eclectic mix of acts and artists from across the globe, including vocalist, songwriter and founding member of The B-52s, Cindy Wilson. Also due to perform in the Spring; LA based guitarist Josh Smith as part of his eagerly anticipated first UK tour, ground-breaking electronic band Blancmange perform their new album Unfurnished Rooms and the legendary reggae roots band Culture celebrate acclaimed album “Two Seven’s Clash” in a 40th Anniversary Concert.

Under The Bridge / January – November 2018

Atomic Rooster -20th January

Originally formed by ‘The Crazy World of Arthur Brown’ members Vincent Crane and Carl Palmer, Atomic Rooster reformed in 2016 with the permission of Crane’s widow, bringing an all new line-up to pay homage to the band’s repertoire with hits such as Tomorrow Night and Devil’s Answer.

Live Dead 69 perform “Live/Dead ‘69” - 2nd February

Tom Constanten was the pianist with The Grateful Dead and he returns to London’s Under the Bridge with an all star line up featuring members of Jefferson Starship, Bob Weir’s Ratdog and David Crosby’s Band after bringing the house down at their last Under the Bridge concert.

Live Dead 69 perform “Skull & Roses ‘71” - 3rd February

Along with performing the “Live Dead 69” album, this time the group take on the “Skull & Roses” album from 1971 in it’s entirety. This was the second live album released by The Grateful Dead and their first certified Gold album.

Josh Smith - 8th February

The arrival of Josh Smith to the UK has been eagerly anticipated as one of the world’s most exciting and dynamic guitarists comes to perform in London for the first time.  The LA based guitarist has worked with some of the industries biggest names, from Mick Jagger, Ricky Fante, Raphael Saadiq & Joe Bonamassa.

Cindy Wilson - 23rd February

Cindy Wilson is a vocalist, songwriter and founding member of The B-52’s. Cindy Wilson is about to release her extraordinary debut solo album ‘Change” and will perform exclusive UK concerts to celebrate in February 2018 taking on Edinburgh, Manchester, Bristol & Under The Bridge in London.

Blancmange - 9th March

British electronic band Blancmange first broke through in the early 80s with their mix of synthesizers and surrealism, fused in groundbreaking singles such as ‘Feel Me’, ‘Living On The Ceiling’, ‘Blind Vision’ and ‘Don’t Tell Me’.  The inspiration continues with Blancmange’s new album “Unfurnished Rooms” due out on 22 September, 2017.

Ladies Of The Blues - 23rd March

Ladies Of The Blues returns to Under The Bridge with an exclusive, once only UK tour for the three blues stars; twice European blues vocalist of the year Connie Lush, Finnish Blues Awards’ Artist of the Year Erja Lyytinen and the most authentic blues singer of her generation Kyla Brox.

Culture - 6th April

AGMP presents CULTURE “Two Sevens Clash” 40th Anniversary Concert Legendary Jamaican Roots Reggae Group announce an exclusive London Concert at the award winning Under the Bridge. Culture started out as a Rasta vocal trio from the Jamaican countryside, who released their debut album “Two Sevens Clash” in 1977.

The Detroit Cobras - 22nd April

Blurring the lines between R&B and R&R and soul, The Detroit Cobras are the go-to party band for those in the know. Singer Rachel Nagy and guitarist Mary Ramirez are the bad girls by the exit doors at the school dance, all leather and heels, sneaking smokes and passing the flask.

The Blasters - 29th April

The Blasters exemplify the best traditions of American Music, performing with passion and honesty that for over three decades has won the hearts and souls of fans worldwide. Composed of founding members vocalist-guitarist Phil Alvin, drummer Bill Bateman and bassist John Bazz with Keith Wyatt on guitar, they carry on a hard-won legacy as one of the most recognizable and credible bands in American Music.

Atmosfear - 26th May

Atmosfear are one of a select group of home grown Jazz Funk bands of the early 80’s who formed the first wave of the Britfunk music scene.  Atmosfear are generally regarded as one of the UK’s most influential bands of the early 80’s. Their timeless debut single ‘Dancing in Outer Space’ has stood the test of time and it was a featured track played regularly at the world famous and New York’s finest club; Paradise Garage.  This show is a celebration of the Atmosfear’s music and pays homage to the soul boy club night era.

From The Jam - 31st May

From the Jam are led by bassist/singer Bruce Foxton, one of the original members of immortal trio, later to perform with Stiff Little Fingers. He is joined by Russell Hastings on lead vocal & guitar. Together they will be performing acoustic interpretations of The Jam‘s classic back catalogue performing classic tracks such as “Start”, “Town called Malice”, “That’s Entertainment”, “In The City”, “Eton Rifles”, “Beat Surrender”, “Bitterest Pill” and “Going Underground“.

Shuggie Otis - 5th June

Shuggie Otis was compared, at the age of 15, with Jimi Hendrix and the great Kings of blues guitar (B.B. King, Albert King). He was a guitar prodigy, cutting sessions with Frank Zappa and Al Kooper whilst still a teenager, and went on to make two expansive, genre-defying, deeply curious albums, 1971’s “Freedom Flight” and 1974’s “Inspiration Information”.

MIKE MASSÉ with Jeff Hall - 29th June

Mike Massé is an internationally acclaimed acoustic artist, known for his epic performances of classic rock covers.  He can be seen performing at various private public events around the country and the world, often accompanied by his long-term friends and collaborators Jeff Hall and Sterling Cottam, including recently sold-out shows in London and the Netherlands.

Innervisions Festival – SOIL & “PIMP” SESSIONS - 5th July

SOIL & “PIMP” SESSIONS are an explosive Japanese jazz band, comprised of five musicians; Shacho (agitator, spirit), Tabu zombie (trumpet), Josei (piano), Akita Goldman (bass) and Midorin (drums).  Formed in 2001, SOIL & “PIMP” SESSIONS describe their music as “death jazz” due to the aggressive, up-tempo sound which is a mixture of Be-bop and Fusion.

Innervisions Festival – Fred Wesley & The New J.B.’s - 7th July

Fred Wesley is the trombonist, composer, arranger, bandleader and author known worldwide as one of the architects of funk music.  Along with Maceo Parker & Pee Wee Ellis, Fred Wesley makes up the classic JB’s Horns who often guest with other artists such as Lenny Kravitz, The Red Hot Chili Peppers and many more.

Innervisions Festival – Janet Kay & Carroll Thompson - 14th July

The Queen’s of Lovers Rock announce an exclusive London concert as part of the inaugural Innervisions Festival.

Janet Kay is best known for the Dennis Bovell produced track “Silly games” which went to Number 1 in the National UK charts in 1979. This was the first time a British born black female hit the top of the charts – a feat now immortalised in the Guinness Book of Records.  Carroll Thompson first found fame with the Reggae Smash “I’m so sorry” and had a slew of hits such as “Hopelessly in Love”, “Make it with you”, “Love won’t let us wait” and “I’m still waiting”. Carroll has worked with Sugar Minott, Trevor Walters, Courtney Pine, Aswad & Mad Professor.

The Blues Band - 20th July

Many of the Blues Band’s 21st century fans weren’t even born when these five virtuosos, already music industry veterans, decided to fly in the face of musical fashion in 1979 and form a band ‘just to play the blues’. No one could have predicted that, 37 years on, they’d still be dazzling audiences with their showmanship and virtuosity.  The individual members of The Blues Band were already held in admiration by generations of rhythm & blues fans when they formed back in 1979.  The band are today acknowledged throughout Europe and beyond as being amongst the very finest purveyors of rhythm & blues.

Roachford - 14th September

Ever since bulldozing his way onto the scene with unforgettable tracks like ‘Cuddly Toy’ and ‘Family Man’ in the late 80s, Andrew Roachford’s maverick take on music has spread far and wide. As the first artist to sign a staggering seven-album deal with Columbia Records, it heralded the beginning of something big.

Aswad - 5th October

Formed in the late seventies, Aswad quickly became one of the most important Reggae artists to ever emerge from the UK. Early hits such as “Warrior Charge” & “Three Babylon” established the band a massive following culminating in a UK number one hit with “Don’t Turn Around” in 1988.

Big Country - “The Crossing” 35th Anniversary Tour - 16th November

Formed in 1981 by guitar playing founder members, Stuart Adamson and Bruce Watson, both native of the band’s hometown Dunfermline in Scotland, Big Country was initially driven by a shared vision of widescreen guitar melody, harmony and lyric.  “The Crossing” is the first studio album released by Big Country in 1983, and 35 years later, the band comes to Under Bridge to perform the platinum selling album.
