John Mayer says 2017 will see him release "more music than I've ever put out in a year"

Musician John Mayer has promised that 2017 will be brimming with brand new music because he has been incredibly productive lately and has lots of new songs for patient fans.

The "In Your Atmosphere" sensation told users on Facebook Live yesterday that he has "a lot" of tracks for his new album, which is entitled The Search for Everything, and he plans to share as much new content as possible in the new year:

"There's a lot of songs for this record. ''I'll put it this way, not to be overly cryptic ... but there are more songs that can fit in your standard sized album. [Next year I'll release] more music than I've ever put out in any one year.''

A release schedule for his highly anticipated new record is yet to be announced, but when asked about a possible date he said that the album will come "very soon, I promise".
