A number of Kate Bush fans were left disappointed today (March 28) after her upcoming London residency sold out in less than fifteen minutes.

The singer, who last toured in 1979, recently announced plans to play fifteen shows at London's Eventim Apollo in August and September as part of her Before The Dawn residency.

After the shows went on a fanclub presale, seven more dates were added.

The tickets went on sale this morning at 9.30am UK time, but it is reported that the 22 shows sold out in fifteen minutes.

Those who lost out took to Twitter to trend the phrase 'No Kate Bush'. Many complained that after adding tickets to their online basket, they were already snapped up.

Bush said in a statement: "I'm completely overwhelmed by the response to the shows. Thank you so much to everyone. Looking forward to seeing you all later this year."

The first date of the run is due to take place on August 26, with the last set for October 1.

There is no official word yet if more dates will be added to the schedule.
