Kate Bush pays tribute to the life and work of the 'truly magical' Prince

Kate Bush has penned a message remembering the life and work of Prince.

The iconic musician died on Thursday (April 21) after being found unresponsive in his Paisley Park complex in Minnesota.

Writing in a post on her website, Bush - who worked with Prince on her 1993 track 'Why Should I Love You' - said the late star was "truly magical".

The enigmatic Brit said: "I am so sad and shocked to hear the tragic news about Prince. He was the most incredibly talented artist.

"A man in complete control of his work from writer and musician to producer and director. He was such an inspiration. Playful and mind-blowingly gifted.

"He was the most inventive and extraordinary live act I've seen. The world has lost someone truly magical. Goodnight dear Prince."

As previously reported, Prince is currently dominating the entire top five of the UK albums chart.
