Kate Bush takes an early lead in the UK albums chart

Iconic singer Kate Bush has taken an impressive early lead over Adele in the UK charts so far this week with her new offering, 'Director's Cut'. 

The album comprises of new recordings of the 'Hounds of Love' star's existing repertoire of tracks, and sold 17,562 copies as of last night (May 16) whereas Adele's '21' only shifted 14,645.

Music Week reveals that despite the evident lead, Adele could still remain at the top because of her phenomenal continued success with her sophomore album as it has already spent 15 weeks at No.1.
