Katie Melua's new plan for dealing with fame

Following her "bit of a breakdown" last year that caused the cancellation of her UK tour, Katie Melua has revealed she's got a new strategy to deal with the pressures of fame.

Talking to the Daily Express today, April 25, the 'Closest Thing To Crazy' singer-songwriter admitted that when she gets back on the road she'll keep her family closer:

“I’m doing things differently since I’ve come back, trying to keep a lot more chilled and making sure I’ve got my family around."

“I need to realise it’s just a job and it doesn’t have to eat you alive. Yes, it’s a great position to be in but it doesn’t mean you have to drive yourself crazy with hard work. I need to just enjoy myself more.”

26-year-old Melua also reveals that while she loves music, she is a hopeless romantic and would change everything for love:

"But I think if I fall in love I will move everything to make things work.”
