Katy B's new album will deal with her 'transition to womanhood'

'Broken Record' singer Katy B has opened up about her forthcoming new album and explained that it's about her 'transition into womanhood'.

Speaking to the Daily Star, she revealed that the lyrics she's been coming up with her for new cut have mainly been focused around the theme of independence:

"Standing on my own two feet is inspiring new lyrics for the album, due out early next year."

She released her debut record, 'On A Mission', back in 2011 and added that her new offering will be more personal because it explores her journey as an artist:

"I'm making the transition from being a girl into womanhood and finding out what my responsibilities are. It's the first time I've lived in the real world with bills to pay, and that's coming across in what I'm writing."
