The popular band shot into the top spot in today's (May 9) midweek update, moving Marina and the Diamonds' 'Electa Heart' down a hefty 7 positions to No.8. The Official Charts Company explained that Keane are "currently outselling the rest of the Top 5".

Richard Hawley's 'Standing At The Sky's Edge' has debuted this afternoon at No.2, Emeli Sandé's 'Our Version Of Events' has climbed 5 places to No.3, and Adele's '21' is at 4. The Cribs' new record, 'In The Belly Of The Brazen Bull', rounds off the Top 5.

Elsewhere, Cover Drive's debut album 'Bajan Style' has entered at No.7 and B.o.B's 'Strange Clouds' has made an appearance at No.24.
