LCD Soundsystem stick it to touts

LCD Soundsystem have added four more dates in New York to their farewell shows.

Tickets for the dance outfit’s Madison Square Garden gig sold out in under an hour last week and were eventually found to be selling online for more than $1,000. Frontman James Murphy says the extra dates, at Manhattan’s Terminal 5, were added to scupper touts and make sure fans got to see the group’s final live gigs.

“We’ll announce the shows officially early in the week, and tickets will be on sale soon after,” Murphy said on Lcdsoundsystem.com. “We’re announcing all the shows at once, and if they don’t sell out, I don’t care. I just want to give people who actually want to see us a chance to see us, for a reasonable ticket price.”
