Lady Antebellum promise 'fun, in your face' new album

'Need You Now' hitmakers Lady Antebellum are currently working on a brand new record and have revealed that it will be the most 'fun' and 'up-tempo' offering they have created to date.

This new cut will be the country trio's fifth studio album and speaking to reporters at the recent Country Music Awards, singer Charles Kelley explained that it's shaping up to be a fantastic collection of songs:

"We're definitely leaning heavy into a fun, in your face record this time. I think for us, this is by far the most kind of fun, up-tempo record we've ever made. I think we always set out to do that and for some reason we've always kind of strayed off into the ballad/mid-tempo world, [but] we stuck to it with this album."

Kelley added that he and bandmates Dave Haywood and Hillary Scott are aiming for an autumn release, but this is only speculative so could change at any time.
