Lawson admit they are a little "confused" by Zayn Malik's plans post-One Direction.

The singer quit the pop group in March to lead a more normal life.

However, he has already been working with British producer Naughty Boy on new music.

Speaking to Clyde 3, Lawson said that they feel a little bit "confused" by Malik's desire to stay out of the limelight.

They said: "I think fair play to him, for doing his own thing and we think the lads are always going to do fine anyway, you know they're the biggest boy band, whatever, in the world.

"I'm sure he's going to do well. I'm just a bit confused I thought he wanted to be a normal 23 year old or whatever he is."
