LeAnn Rimes sues dentist for 'ruining her career'

Celebrity news site TMZ has obtained court papers filed by songstress LeAnn Rimes, in which she sues her dentist for wrecking her "ability to perform as an artist".

She is suing Dr. Duane C. McKay for an undisclosed amount after he misdiagnosed her and suggested veneers and crowns in order to ease her TMJ-related pain (temporomandibular joint and muscle disorders), which only made the situation worse.

She claims his work has left her with "severe tooth pain, gum inflammation and chronic gum bleeding" and added that she now suffers from "permanent cosmetic deficiency."

Rimes also states that the procedures she had done have ruined her performing abilities: "[My] ability to perform as an artist has been and will continue to significantly compromised until all re-treatment is completed. [I am suffering from] emotional and psychiatric injuries."
