LeAnn Rimes cancels Dublin show after coughing spasms

LeAnn Rimes was forced into pulling an Ireland show due to coughing spasms.

The singer, who was scheduled to play Ireland's Vicar Street on Thursday (September 12), revealed the news on Twitter.

The US star was taken to hospital and has been given a drawing board as a result of an order to rest her voice.

Rimes said: "Never thought I'd see the ER in Dublin. I have coughed myself into pain. The spasm is intense. Being human sucks sometimes. Thank you to all my fantastic, understanding, loving fans here in Ireland."

She continued: "Dear lord the lies! It's amazing when people make themselves believe their own bullsh*t. So nice to meet all my loyal fans who tweeted me about the Dublin show. I didn't get to sing or talk to you, but I got to give you all a hug."

Rimes' next show is scheduled to take place in Birmingham on September 14.
