Liam Payne gearing up for release of new single 'Bedroom Floor' on Oct 20

Liam Payne has confirmed on Twitter that his second solo single is set to be released on October 20.

The One Direction star replied to a tweet from a fan account yesterday (Sept 23), which read:

"#WhyWeLoveLiam because Bedroom Floor will be out Oct 20! (sic)”

Payne wrote: “Yep! My new single #BedroomFloor comes out on the 20th October! (sic)”

In an interview earlier this month with ET Canada (see below), Payne also revealed that he's enjoying his time as a solo artist, and despite One Direction being on a hiatus, the lads still support each other and hope to bring out another album for sure in the future. He revealed that he even caught up with Harry Styles recently and chatting about their individual projects.

In the interview, Payne also discussed how fatherhood has altered his life, admitting: "It's the best thing ever".

The ‘Strip That Down' hitmaker previously revealed his struggle to produce his own new material after One Direction went on hiatus because his life with his partner Cheryl Tweedy and their six-month-old son Bear is so drama-free.

He said: "I had a bit of a problem formulating what was going on in my brain into the music at first because I was so content with everything in my personal life.

"It's easy to spill your guts out on a ballad. But I was thinking, ‘Oh God, I'm really happy - what am I going to write about?!’

The 24-year-old also got together with DJ and producer Zedd last week to surprise fans in London with a street performance of their single, 'Get Low', which was released earlier this year on July 6. In the video, the pair are shown in some of London busiest areas, such as Trafalgar Square and Convent Garden, before ending up at the Capital's famous London Bridge.

'Get Low' peaked at 91 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and is the follow-up to Payne’s first solo release and Quavo collaboration, “Strip That Down”.
