Liam Gallagher isn't buying into the hype surrounding Daft Punk, it seems.

The French duo are currently on the top of the world after releasing new album 'Random Access Memories', which has just been named the UK's fastest selling record of the year.

Speaking to Sony's MU, Gallagher suggested that he is fed up of all the talk surrounding the dance stars.

He added that he isn't a fan of their robot disguises either. The Beady Eye singer said of their hit single 'Get Lucky':

"I'd write that in a f***ing hour. It's like f**k off, give me a f**king break."

Gallagher continued: "I am not going to have people wear disguises. Take your f**king helmet off. Let's see what you look like sans helmet, whatever you're called."

Rocker Liam Gallagher has revealed that he took matters into his own hands after a tramp was hassling people in his neighbourhood recently.

The star told London's Evening Standard newspaper that a homeless man kept ringing the doorbells of houses in his area, but the final straw came when the man messed about with Gallagher's recycling bins:

"This tramp kept hassling me at my house. I know he has been a problem for other people round our way. He was ringing on our buzzer early in the morning and kept asking if I would pay for his pay-as-you-go phone. Proper mad."

"The final straw was when he started messing with my recycling bins. I’m a bit anal about my recycling and he ended up shoving his crutches in my bin. I came out and squared up to him and he had a bit of a go. Put it this way, I don’t think he’ll be coming back round my way again."

Liam Gallagher: 'If my new album flops I might just disappear and enjoy my life'

Beady Eye frontman Liam Gallagher has admitted that if the band's forthcoming new record isn't successful he might consider calling it a day.

The group are due to release a new album, simply titled 'BE', this summer and during an interview with Q magazine, the outspoken musician explained that he's put a lot of effort into his career although it hasn't gathered the speed it expected so he's almost at the stage now where it's all or nothing:

"Well, if we're barking up the wrong tree with this record, I don't know if I can be arsed barking up it again. I'll never be a plumber, I'll never be a fashion designer. Maybe I'd just sail off into the distance and enjoy my life, instead of worrying what some spotty little t**t from Hastings thinks about the record."

Speaking to the NME recently, he confessed that 'BE' wasn't his choice for the album title at all: "I wanted to call it 'Universal Gleam'. But at Columbia [their record label], a lot of people got their knickers in a twist, putting out a record called 'Universal Gleam' when we're not on [the label] Universal. So yeah, it's 'BE'. 'BE'. 'BE' who you are. 'BE' whatever you f**king want to be. 'BE'. F**king bumble-'BE'."

Liam Gallagher: 'I'd play live again with Noel for £30 million'

Former Oasis rocker Liam Gallagher has revealed that despite fans' pleas, it would take a lot of money to get him back on stage or in the studio with his brother, Noel.

Speaking to Q magazine (pictured below) about a potential reunion, the Beady Eye hitmaker explained that it's not something that is on the horizon for either of the musicians: “Listen, it’ll happen when it happens, but it ain’t a f***ing game — it’s the real deal."

“I read a lot of people going, ‘Oh, it’s just a blag, innit? So they can get some more noughts on their big f***ing comeback. But I’m still me and he’s gonna be him. I ain’t changing for a million f***ing pounds... I might do it for £30million.”

Gallagher also opened up about Beady Eye's forthcoming new album in the interview and confessed that the sound is a little different from the band's debut: "People didn’t like the first one. So we couldn’t do that again. Jumpin’ Jack Flash and Lennon gear — that’s my thing. I could do that all day long but people don’t want that, so we had to do summat."

Liam Gallagher: 'I know nothing about fashion'

Pretty Green label owner Liam Gallagher has confessed that despite being hailed as a fashion icon he knows little about the industry and even style itself.

The Beady Eye hitmaker told the Evening Standard that he never set out with a goal in mind and has nothing to prove, so just embraced the opportunity and uses his own preferences to guide him:

"I'm not doing it to prove anything. I'm doing it because I had an opportunity. I spend a lot of my money on clothes so I feel like I'm within my rights to do whatever I want to do."

"I know f**k all about fashion. I just know what I like. We might get bored of it in three years' time, go back to our day job. But at the moment, we're having a good time. It gets us out the house. So why not?"

Earlier this week, the star unveiled his new collections and told GQ magazine that he would like to branch out to accessories or maybe even black tie outfits.

Beady Eye hitmaker Liam Gallagher has just unveiled Pretty Green's Autumn/Winter '13 line and explained that he's keen to expand the collection with a foray into accessories.

During the 'Pretty Green London Collections: Men' party at The Arts Club in London, Gallagher admitted that he wants to introduce new elements and hopes to begin with non-clothing items:

"We're looking into accessories heavily, having dabbled in footwear. The world's our oyster really, we'd like to think. There's the opportunity to grow into what we want."

When asked by GQ magazine if Pretty Green would consider designing a black tie range, he said: "Why not, man? We're not a one trick pony. There's this dinner jacket Sid James wears in Carry On Camping :a leopard print blazer with satin lapels. I'd like something like that. It's not all about baggy jeans in my wardrobe."

Gallagher added that while people might identify his brand as being mod, he never set out to channel that specific style: "People might say it is but we didn't set out to create a Mod label - it's music, from the Sixties and Seventies."

Beady Eye rocker Liam Gallagher has admitted that he once received a piece of memorabilia from one of his favourite bands for Christmas and it soon became his ultimate gift.

Gallagher is a huge fan of The Beatles' John Lennon, and even named his now 13-year-old son after the musician, and was given one of Lennon's acoustic guitars by his wife, Nicole Appleton:

"I'd say the best was when I got a John Lennon guitar. Off my missus. An acoustic, really nice acoustic guitar."

He also joked that he still receives boring presents such as "socks, slippers, I get all that s**t".

He will spend this year's holidays in New York City and added that because he now owns a property out there he intends to enjoy the festivities across the pond:

"I always have a good time at Christmas, definitely. I've got a gaff [house] in New York now, so I'm out there this time. In fact, I've spent a good couple of Christmases out there before; that's how I got the taste for it. I've got some unfinished business over there, as they say in the spirit world."

Former Oasis superstar Liam Gallagher has revealed that his fashion label, Pretty Green, is completely free from the use of fur.

Pretty Green's chief executive officer sent an email to PETA about their decision to only incorporate faux-fur in their designs and explained that all of their faux items would be clearly labelled from now on.

Yvonne Taylor, PETA's Senior Programme Manager, released an official statement on Pretty Green's confirmed anti-fur stance:

"We are delighted to add Liam to the list of truly talented visionaries and trendsetters who are able to design stylish, fashionable and popular clothing without the use of fur."

Despite previously speaking out about his love for 'sausage dogs', Gallagher recently told the NME that he takes great pleasure in winding up his own four-legged friend:

"I like winding me dogs up. I just stand there with the lead, shaking it for f***ing ages until they're sh***ing and p***ing all over the floor. And I'm stood there going, 'Walkies!' Then I sit back down again."

Outspoken Beady Eye star Liam Gallagher has revealed that he enjoys tricking his pet dogs into thinking he's about to take them for a walk only to sit back down again and watch them look disappointed.

According to the Daily Star, the 40-year-old musician explained that it's entertaining to wind up others and he often starts with his pooches:

"I like winding me dogs up. I just stand there with the lead, shaking it for f***ing ages until they're sh***ing and p***ing all over the floor. And I'm stood there going, 'Walkies!' Then I sit back down again."

He continued by adding that he also applies the same behaviour to his wife, All Saints singer Nicole Appleton, and his children: "I like winding me kids up, I like winding me mum up, I like winding me missus up."

It would seem that Liam likes to tease his brother Noel, too, who recently revealed that if he sees Liam on the front cover of a magazine he usually buys a copy because he knows the interview will mention him in an unfavourable way at some point.

Speaking at this week's GQ Awards, Gallagher referred to both Brand's short-lived marriage to Katy Perry and the fact that he's been newly linked to Spice Girls singer Geri Halliwell, and explained that he doesn't like him:

"Russell's a dick. I don't really care about any of his relationships. All I know is anyone can do better than go out with him. I get on with Geri, she's all right. We've both got small dogs so we meet on Hampstead Heath sometimes."

He also mentioned performing on the same bill as the Spice Girls at the London 2012 Olympic Closing Ceremony, and added:

"The Spice Girls were a lot better on the booze than I thought after the Olympics. They're not bad for old dears. They'll never outlast me though, no-one will. I'm not saying I'm a God, but I'm not far off."

"Lennon... can start wearing the T-shirts but Gene is desperately going, 'Dad, can I have a parka? Can I have this?' And I'm mad for (interested in) getting them made."

Liam Gallagher on British style: "I'm cool as f**k"

Former Oasis superstar Liam Gallagher has admitted that he finds himself "cool as f**k" in a new interview about British style.

Speaking to ShortList.com, the Beady Eye frontman explained that he personally enjoys fashion that reflects the 1960s and his own collection, Pretty Green, is the embodiment of what he likes.

When asked what English style means to him, Gallagher revealed: "It’s a look back over the decades, especially the Sixties when lads were buzzin’ and defining their style. Bands like the Stones and The Who were creating their own classic look."

"I’m into quality clothing with a vintage vibe. Pretty Green is a reflection of my personal style and taste. One foot in the past, one foot in the future."

Although he wouldn't open up about his worst ever outfit, he did say: "It’s not for me to point out. I’m sure there have been a few mistakes, but overall I’m cool as f**k."

Gallagher also confessed that he doesn't approve of people who use stylists because it's as if they can't speak for themselves, adding: "Anyone who wears what they are told to wear and not what they want to wear – you know, the ones who have stylists. If you don’t know what you look good in, then I feel sorry for you."

Liam Gallagher has described Stone Roses as the best band in the world after watching the first official show of their 2012 reunion tour in Barcelona.

The former Oasis singer, whose band, Beady Eye, will support Ian and Brown and co. for a series of live shows later this year, told the BBC that he’s delighted the band got back together again:

"It's like Quadrophenia for me, do you know what I mean? It's a live moment. I've started feeling different man. They're the best band in the world man.

"I followed them round when I was sixteen, seventeen. They made me feel great again."

The Mancunian quartet, who performed a last-minute surprise show in Warrington last month, played hits including 'Fools Gold,' 'She Bangs The Drums' and 'I Wanna Be Adored' at last night's gig before finishing with a 10-minute rendition of 'I Am The Resurrection.'

Liam Gallagher voted 'Greatest Frontman Of All Time'

Liam Gallagher has topped a poll to find the Greatest Frontman of All Time.

The Beady Eye and ex-Oasis star, who will turn 40 later this year, was voted ahead of Queen’s Freddie Mercury, Depeche Mode’s Dave Gahan and Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl by listeners of XFM.

On hearing the news, the younger Gallagher brother responded in typically modest fashion:

"Greatest frontman? I knew that anyway! There's not many of us about. There are a lot of pretenders out there. But I'd like to thank everybody for voting and stuff. Nice one."

When asked by DJ Steve Harris if he could ever see himself in any other role, he replied:

"I don't think I could handle the bass guitar, but I could see myself down the line on guitar and I can see myself smashing the kit up. But but singing is all I can do. It's always been about the vocal for me, man. If you're a good looking fucker like me, you've got to be down the front, haven't you?"

Gallagher also explained the thinking behind his trademark stage pose: "If I hold the microphone stand, I feel a bit weak and a bit singerish. But when I put my hands behind my back I feel more power. it feels like it's going to go off at any minute.”

Beady Eye star Liam explained that it probably wouldn't take much for them to "put our issues aside" and he hopes that 2015 will see them return to the stage together:

"I know our kid's desperate to [get Oasis back together]. And with this thing in 2015 I think me and him can put our issues aside and do it without a doubt.
