Little Mix unveil 'Word Up' Sport Relief single

Little Mix have aired their new Sport Relief charity single for the first time.

The girl group have covered Cameo's 1986 track 'Word Up' for the good cause and it was debuted on BBC Radio 1 this morning (January 21).

The tune will be released on March 16 digitally before a physical version goes on sale a day later.

The band retweeted a number of messages of praise on Twitter, with one fan saying: "LOVE THE SPORT RELIEF SONG!!!!"

This year's Sport Relief is taking place between March 21-23 and will see a number of celebrities, as well as members of the public, taking on charity challenges.

It has just been confirmed meanwhile that former footballer David Beckham will join actors Sir David Jason and Nicholas Lyndhurst in a rare Only Fools and Horses sketch for Sport Relief.
