Little Mix have admitted that the idea of supporting One Direction on tour was discussed.

However, the two British groups' schedules clashed and the blockbuster tour notion was stopped in its tracks.

The idea of Little Mix supporting One Direction on their Where We Are tour this year was rumoured after an image appeared online suggesting they would join the tour in North America.

However, the 'DNA' stars told StitchedSound that whilst the idea was mooted, they didn't have space in their schedule.

Perrie Edwards: "Even we were like 'we're touring with 1D?'...[Jesy] went 'will you ask Zayn?' and I was like 'yeah, I'll find out'. And when I found out we weren't doing it I was like 'oh, nevermind'."

Jesy Nelson added: "It was in talks, but our schedules clashed."

Nevertheless, Little Mix are currently in the states as they support Demi Lovato on her Neon Lights tour.
