Little Mix on charity Africa visit: "Coming here is such a big eye-opener"

Footage and quotes from Little Mix's recent visit to Liberia in Africa has been released.

The girl group visited the country for charity Sport Relief, who they are releasing the single 'Word Up!' for.

The quartet spent time with locals in a township and saw first-hand the need for aid and supplies in the impoverished area.

Leigh-Anne Pinnock said in a video: "We worry about the stupidest little things at home and there’s just so much going on in the world. I just feel like we take things for granted too much and coming here is such a big eye-opener."

Perrie Edwards added: Coming to Liberia has been in some ways different to what I thought but in a lot of ways I kind of expected certain things. I think the things I expected are harder to see – no matter how much you prepare yourself before you come out here, you think ‘I’ve seen the adverts, I’ve read about it’ and then you get here and it’s like, ‘Wow'."

Little Mix meanwhile will release 'Word Up!' on March 16 to raise funds for Sport Relief.
