Little Mix to switch on Merry Hill's Christmas lights

'Wings' beauties Little Mix have been confirmed to switch on the Christmas lights at the Merry Hill shopping centre in the West Midlands on Friday, November 14.

The superstars will treat revellers to renditions of their hit singles at the event and tickets cost just £1 from the customer services desk at the mall, with all proceeds going to Help Harry Help Others.

Kelly Reed, senior marketing manager at Merry Hill, said in a statement: “We can’t wait to welcome the Little Mix girls to the centre for this year’s big light switch on, which promises to be bigger and better than ever. Merry Hill turns 25 this November, so we’re planning on celebrating. We hope lots of our shoppers turn up to take part in the festivities."

The festive celebration will be hosted by Sam and Mark from Free Radio, and Britain’s Got Talent favourites Bars & Melody are also set to entertain the crowd.

Little Mix, meanwhile, are working on their third studio album and songstress Leigh-Anne Pinnock admitted that they're finding it hard to choose songs from the final track list as everything they're recording is so good: "At the minute, we're just looking for that one banger hit. We're on our way to it. Sometimes it happens that we've got so many good songs we don't know which one to choose."
