Little Mix on songwriting inspiration: 'We write with our fans in mind'

The beauties of Little Mix have revealed that they always have their devoted followers in mind when they're in the studio coming up with new songs because they want to inspire them with their lyrics.

The 'Wings' beauties spoke to the BBC at the Radio 1 Teen Awards and confessed that their main source of inspiration when writing songs is their fan base because they want to pen tracks that will empower and reach them: "Our fans, one hundred percent. I think our fans love it because when we write, we tend to be inspirational and we do it all for our fans."

When asked if they could offer any advice to teenagers going through a hard time, the girls explained that making sure they spend time in the company of loved ones is important: "Just surround yourself with positive people, people who make you happy - good friends."

Earlier this week, it was confirmed that Little Mix will be switching on the Christmas lights at Merry Hill shopping centre in the West Midlands on Friday, November 14.
