Little Mix choose song for 'X Factor' finalist Lauren Platt: 'The public fell in love with her'

Former 'X Factor' winners Little Mix have chosen a song that will be performed by a current finalist on the popular talent programme this weekend.

The girls selected a track for contestant Lauren Platt (pictured left) and revealed that Zedd's 'Clarity', which features vocals from singer Foxes, seemed like a great fit for her:

"We thought hard about the kind of artist that Lauren is and what kind of song would really show off her voice, and 'Clarity' was the one we landed on."

The 'Wings' beauties went onto add that Platt has a great shot at winning as the British public are very much behind her: "Lauren has made the public fall in love with her, so she just needs to keep doing what she is doing."

Other music stars picked songs for the rest of the top 5 and One Direction chose The Beatles' 'Come Together' for finalist Ben Haenow while Sam Smith selected 'Chandelier' by Sia for contestant Andrea Faustini.
