Little Mix's Jade praises her brother: 'He has taught me so many valuable lessons in life'

The girls of Little Mix are fairly private when it comes to their loved ones, but Jade Thirlwall shared a photo collage (pictured left) of her brother Karl with the group's followers to celebrate his 27th birthday.

The 'Wings' beauty admitted that she considers him to be her idol and has learned 'so many valuable lessons' from him over the years, which is why she wanted to put him in the spotlight for a change:

"Happy 27th Birthday to my idol, my brother Karl. He hates the spotlight but I'm going to give it to him! Never have I met such a kind hearted, loving man who has taught me so many valuable lessons in life. Although I don't grass him up as much I will always be his annoying little sister! I miss seeing him everyday. [...] I want him to know today and always how proud I am of him for becoming such an incredible man whom I am so happy to say 'yeah, that's my brother'. I know this message is cheesy but I should tell him more often that I love him with all my heart."

The Little Mix hitmakers, meanwhile, are finishing up their highly anticipated third studio album and told reporters at the 2015 BRIT Awards that the record's lead single is a 'risk' because it's so different to their other material:

"We've been working on the album for quite a while, we just want it to be perfect. It has a whole new sound. It's literally completely different to anything we've done before. Words can't describe how excited we are for this single because it's a bit of a risk, but so were 'Wings' and 'Move'. It's scary because we've never done this style before but we're excited because it's a new lane, a new year and we're feeling very positive."
