Little Mix have stated that their next album should be released relatively soon.

The girl group have been working on their third record for a number of months.

Perrie Edwards confirmed in a recent online hangout that the album is in its "final stages" of creation.

Jade Thirlwall added: "I think we just wanted to do something different. I think that's why it's so long as well.

"We wanted to make a sound that was still us, but was changing a bit."

Leigh-Anne Pinnock meanwhile said: "It's all about progression, isn't it? We just hope you guys love it as much as us."

Little Mix's last album 'Salute' was released in 2013.
