Little Mix have promised fans that their new record will be "worth the wait".

The girls have been working on the follow-up to their 2013 album 'Salute' for a number of months.

They even cancelled a US tour in 2014 to spend time recording the album.

Its first single 'Black Magic' will be premiered on May 26 as fans finally get a chance to hear new music.

Speaking on Twitter on Monday (May 18), Perrie Edwards reassured fans that the album will have been worth waiting for.

She wrote: "Just got in bed, I am so tired!! This album is gunna be SOOO worth the wait I promise you :) #CantWait."

Little Mix meanwhile recently revealed the meaning behind their upcoming single.

They said: "The message of 'Black Magic' is basically we are the girls with the secret potion and we're going to give it to all the other girls that want to get the man they want to get. It makes them fall in love.

"The potion is a little metaphor for confidence - just have a little bit of confidence and get your man."
