Little Mix have confirmed that they have just wrapped up recording their "very pop" new album.

The girls have been working for a number of months on the follow-up to their 2013 record 'Salute'.

Speaking to BBC Breakfast today (July 6), the group revealed that they have now recorded their new studio effort.

Singer Jesy Nelson said that fans should expect a different sounding album than their last record.

She said: "It's a very pop album. [It's] completely different to 'Salute', which was quite a dark album and quite R&B.

"This is very pop - very personality driven, and I think it's one of our best."
