Little Mix wrote hundreds of songs for new album

Little Mix have revealed that they penned hundreds of tracks during their new album writing process.

The singers have spent a number of months working on the follow-up to their 2013 record 'Salute'.

Speaking on BBC Breakfast today (July 6), the quartet said they have written numerous potential songs - up to three hundred.

Perrie Edwards added: "We've been in the studio for eight months - nearly a year.

"We've been writing and writing and writing, so it's been very long."

The group's new album is expected to land later this year.

It will feature the lead single 'Black Magic'.
