Little Mix on fame: 'Women get ridiculed a lot more'

Hitmakers Little Mix have revealed that being a woman in the entertainment industry is incredibly stressful.

During an exclusive new interview with Yahoo!, the beauties explained that it's much harder for a woman to navigate fame than it is for a man because there's more pressure attributed to appearance. Perrie Edwards said: “Men are completely different to women - women get ridiculed a lot more.”

Songstress Jesy Nelson went onto add that the scrutiny women face when their photos are put online or in magazines is unbelievable:

"100%. You never see a guy in a magazine for putting on weight or for getting too skinny, ever. Ever, ever, ever. And nowadays girls like boys who look a little bit rough - a guy goes out looking like he’s slept outside for two weeks and he looks hot, if a girl did that she’d get slated."
