Little Mix to support 1D at the Apple Music Festival

It has been confirmed that 'Black Magic' girl group Little Mix will support One Direction at the upcoming Apple Music Festival (previously known as the iTunes Festival) this September.

Both bands will take the stage at London's Roundhouse venue in Camden on September 22. Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Internet Software and Services, spoke about the rebranded event in a statement:

"We wanted to do something really special for music fans this year. The Apple Music Festival is a greatest hits set of ten unbelievable nights featuring some of the best performers on the planet appearing live and interacting directly with their fans on Connect and Beats 1."

Little Mix, meanwhile, will celebrate their fourth anniversary together this afternoon with a livestream fan event thanks to NBC Universal and AOL.com. Suzanne Lindbergh, SVP of Original Programming for AOL.com, issued a statement on the exciting news and said:

"We're excited to collaborate with NBC Universal and together bring insider access to one of the hottest bands in music, Little Mix, with this one-of-a-kind event. This partnership continues with our mission to bring AOL.com viewers these unique experiences."
