Little Mix: 'We hate the thought of not being together, we're a team.'

Little Mix took time out before appearing at London's iTunes Festival to insist they would not be following in One Direction’s footsteps by taking a hiatus. Leigh-Anne Pinnock said: “We hate the thought of not being together. We’re a team.”

The band also do not think people realise that they all get heavily involved in the recording of their new material.

Jesy Nelson said: "We have been in control from the start. I think we’re quite lucky. But I just don’t think people believe that. We do tell people, but I think because we’re from X Factor, people think we’re these puppets, and we’re not.”

The band, who were at the Roundhouse supporting One Direction this week, have been writing and producing their third album, 'Get Weird', due out on November 6.

Jade Thirwell said: "We must get on our producers’ nerves because we’re sat behind them saying, ‘We want this, this, this...’ We’re in their ear all the time. But that’s how it should be when you’ve got a vision.”

The band revealed the tracklisting for 'Get Weird' on September 7.
